Maldoni’s is a soul food pop-up created with love and comfort by Alicia Waters. Alicia was born and raised in Berkeley, California. She started her business to help feed the homeless and her restaurant has since grown to provide food to her community in Oakland.
“I chose the name Maldoni’s to honor my sons’ names,” Alicia explains. She is a self-taught chef who started out cooking for her family. “The first real meal I cooked was the entire Thanksgiving meal when I was 14 years old. My grandmother trusted me to cook the meal because I learned from watching her.” Come support - a Food Business Pathways program participant - and enjoy some of her delicious po’boys on July 11th at E14th Eatery + Kitchen! 🌿✨
